Hi folks! Get ready for new wood floors, basket wall art and a DIY ladder! This post has been a long time in the making I am so thrilled to finally share with you our master bedroom. A lot of TLC has been put into it. When we bought our house, it had a navy blue carpet in the master that I despised. Not only was it ugly, but it would show every single piece of lint and every tuft of light colored cat hair (2 cats, mind ya.) So, it had to go. And with it gone came new flooring and an overhaul of the furniture and decor. Yay! I hope you all enjoy as much as I do. :)
Above the bed, I took a large frame that I had painted and added a wreath to the middle. Simple and rustic, just the touch I was looking for.
I hung some baskets on the wall around the room for more texture.
The ladder was a DIY project that was easy and provides a great visual.
Thanks for stopping by!
-Leigh

Very pretty! What a lovely retreat you have created. I especially like the basket by your cute letter. Jane
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jane! Baskets are so fun to use...the one you like I was able to get at Hobby Lobby on clearance a few years ago, yay! :)
DeleteWhat a pretty bedroom. I really like the colors you chose for your comforter and shams, and the contrast with the neutral bedskirt and decorative pillows. Those colors and the wall color really work with your furniture. Baskets are fun, aren't they? I never tire of them, and you have some beauties. I like the ladder with the grain sack and the crocheted piece, and the framed wreath over the bed. Nice. Congratulations on your first home. I've been looking through your blog and it seems you're off to a great start. Lots of fun times ahead for you. Blessings, Nancy
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by, Nancy! I was really careful in picking the details I wanted for the room to make it seem relaxing and comfortable. Thank you for your kind words!
DeleteA lovely room and just as it should be....with a kitty on the bed! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deb! Of course a room tour isn't complete without a kitty somewhere to be seen! :)
DeleteWhat a great room makeover! Love the ladder and basket on the wall...very nice touches.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The ladder and baskets are my favorite part too. :)
DeleteI absolutely love this makeover! I would love to add wood or laminate flooring in the bedrooms, but that is way down on the list -- love yours, though. Do you mind sharing the color of paint you used?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dee! It's amazing how much flooring can transform a room. I would never want carpet, ever again! If you are asking about the wall paint, it is Behr's Antique White in a satin finish. Throughout the day the color takes on different tones. I really like it!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
